"The central figure in this drama of vigilante ranchers is the wanna be ranger, Roger Barnett, who has boasted that he has made thousands of arrests of Mexican migrants on "his ranch." Ironically, most of "his" ranches are lands leased from Arizona at bargain sale prices. Emboldened by official inaction, Barnett and his followers, although they deny it, have sent out a racist "flyer" inviting white supremacist groups to come to their ranches to help them "hunt" Mexican "aliens."
